Buyer guide
Mini Highland cattle questions, answered.
Clear starting points for prospective owners. Details about a particular animal are always confirmed directly before purchase.
Where is Marazzito Ranch located?
Marazzito Ranch operates seasonally in Utah and Wyoming. Contact us to confirm the location of a specific animal and discuss pickup or transport.
Do you have Mini Highland cattle for sale?
Availability changes as cattle mature and placements are confirmed. Our Available Cattle page introduces animals buyers may ask about, but current status, price, and terms must be confirmed directly.
What does non-chondro mean?
Non-chondro means an animal does not carry the particular chondrodysplasia gene associated with shorter stature in some miniature cattle. Chondro status is one part of evaluating an animal and does not by itself guarantee mature size.
Can you guarantee mature Mini Highland size?
No exact mature height should be guaranteed from the word “mini” alone. Genetics, parent size, sex, age, nutrition, and development all influence mature size. We discuss known information and realistic expectations for each animal.
When are calves weaned?
Weaning is planned for each calf based on age, development, health, and ranch management. Abby and Beth were introduced with September 2026 weaning timelines; contact us for current details.
Are parentage and registration details available?
Known parentage, registration status, health information, and other records are discussed animal by animal. Confirm exactly what documentation accompanies a specific animal before purchase.
Do you offer cattle transport?
Pickup and transport possibilities depend on the animal, timing, destination, and available arrangements. Contact us to discuss options before making plans.
What should a first-time Highland owner prepare?
Plan for secure cattle fencing, appropriate shelter, reliable water, species-appropriate nutrition, veterinary care, safe handling facilities, and suitable companionship. Review local conditions and regulations as well.
